Press Release: Oseberg Accounts Major Upgrade for its Atla Oil and Gas Data Platform

OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 19, 2017) — Oseberg, the nation’s most innovative energy data analysis company, announced today a significant upgrade to its flagship product, Atla.

Atla is a leading upstream energy data Business Intelligence tool, which provides the richest, most accurate, and deepest data on a multitude of public filings across Oklahoma and Texas.

“We’ve been the leader in User Experience in our space for a long time. This release of Atla puts us that much further ahead,” said Evan Anderson, co-founder and CEO. “Our Beta users have loved this product and we’re excited to see the market continue to accept Oseberg as the single best source for their oil and gas regulatory data.”

With this release, Atla is capable of handling more data and is much more performant with larger datasets. The mapping components are now more configurable, the app boasts enhanced filtering and querying, and, overall, the app offers more customization to enhance usability. Perhaps the greatest leap forward, though, is this release’s improved import capabilities. Users can now create and import datasets that behave like Oseberg datasets within the application, allowing them to visualize their private data alongside Oseberg’s superbly detailed data feeds.

Oseberg offers differentiated data across more filings than anyone in the oil and gas data industry. This new release builds on the usability of the existing product line by putting the user in more control.

Combined with its Sól and DataStream tools, Oseberg now serves the entire energy industry in Oklahoma and Texas.

Oseberg went to market with first data sets and application in early 2011 and experienced triple-digit sales growth since, expanding its presence in Texas and Oklahoma. Oseberg recently received $10M in investor funding.
