Texas Completions

  • XTO is at the top of our list for most recent completion filings. We decided to use oseFrac to see cleaned, curated, and standardized data regarding all of their fracs.

The above record is an example of one of XTO's recently completed wells. We can quickly see that this particular well used less water than a typical XTO frac. For more on this well and access to frac data on the entire US, see frac.oseberg.io where you can sign up for a free 7 day trial.

Texas Intents to Drill

  • Last week we mentioned that we would be monitoring EOG’s activity, and we have noticed an almost 50% increase in filings since our last report. Our data shows their recent activity is focused in the Delaware Basin. We will be looking to see if they talk about this activity on Friday in their earnings call!

  • Parsley Energy’s permits are primarily being filed in the heart of the Permian. Expect more activity from Parsley as oil prices continue to tick up!

Texas Transfer of Operator

  • This week we are highlighting Mosaic Exploration’s purchase of more than 80 wells in Pecos County from Gaea Services in the Permian Basin.
